Over Jim Janz’s 25
years on the
IBOAI Board – including 15 years as Chairman of the
Canadian Board when it was a separate association, and in
2007 as Chairman of the North American Board – he has seen
the Corporation and, thus, the business grow in the eyes of
the world.
He saw it happen when
Jay
Van Andel was elected Chairman of the
U.S.
Chamber of Commerce. And again when leaders from around
the world attended the dedications of the
Amway Grand Plaza Hotel
along with the
Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. “Our Crown
Ambassador pins took the place of security badges,” says
Jim, who remembers the late comedian Bob Hope commenting
that he wished that he had one of those. Accompanying a half
dozen heads of state and the sitting U.S. President,
Ronald Reagan, the eyes of the world were on
Amway in the persons of
its leaders.
Today, although the IBOAI
represents North American
IBOs, IBO businesses reach around the world. The
business continues to grow in the eyes of the world.
