Electing Members

As an IBO, you have the opportunity to belong to the Independent Business Owners Association International, an organization created to serve your common interests. The newly elected Board of the IBOA International is just like you – passionate about and devoted to the business.

The Board is charged with protecting the integrity of the IBO Plan, ensuring as-good or better opportunities for the future, and acting as advisors to Amway Global. It meets four times throughout the year to discuss these and other issues and to make recommendations for the growth and success of the business.

While the Board members represent all IBOs with a single voice, they participate in six committees charged with some of the most important issues that affect your business.

Executive Committee members the officers and other selected Board members – exercise the powers and authorities of the IBOA International between regular and special Board meetings, including the appointment of members to the five standing committees.

Awards and Recognition Committee members evaluate proposed changes to Amway Global’s incentive and awards program and make recommendations to Amway Global.

International Committee members focus on new policies or changes to existing policies regarding business outside of North America.

Legal and Ethics Committee members address a variety of related topics such as the Internet, dispute resolution, tax issues, and the Rules of Conduct. Business Operations Committee members handle proposed changes to IBO benefits, new products and programs, distribution methods, communications technology, and similar matters affecting the operation of every IBO business.

Hearing and Disputes Committee members help facilitate and promote the mutually satisfactory resolutions of concerns and disputes as outlined in the Rules of Conduct (11.3).

IBOA International also supports the Marketing Advisory Committee (MAC), an ad hoc committee that partners with Amway Global
to provide input about IBO literature, product lines, marketing, procedures, and more. Watch future issues of Achieve® Magazine for more information about the MAC.

The IBOA International is your organization. Use it to share your experiences, concerns, and ideas with others like you. For more information or to contact the IBOA International, visit www.iboai.com.
